Initially crafted within the constraints of the Covid-19 pandemic, A PECULIAR SHADE OF BLUE emerged as an ambient exploration through the landscapes of grief.

Since 2020, it has steadily developed as a solo work to arrive as an immersive, interactive film-theatre project and piece of interdisciplinary art.

Six films, or STANZAS carry intent to open out grief's language as an essential and natural part of the human experience; to dissolve taboo around its expression, so we can better understand its role in renewal.

ROWAN JACQUELINE weaves earth-engaged performance with the land, poetry and music as each stanza works in isolation, yet together combine as a complete experience.

The vessel of SLOW CINEMA invites the audience to reflect on the profound nature of grief within a structure that hopes to create enough space inside the rough hands of sorrow to find personal points of resonance.

These pages extend an invitation to experience this ongoing work, to give insight into the creative process and, if you so feel called, step into the work and become part of its journey via MEMBERSHIP or to BOOK A SCREENING.
